It would work great at my favorite campsite. The site is located right by a small creek, so we wouldn’t even need a bucket, just set the hose into the creek and turn on. Might be a bit cold, but its better than being dirty. No way my wife will give me any romance when we are camping unless I have been able to clean up before getting in the tent.

Unless there was a lake or big creek I could dive in to, then I was loaded with grime and sweat. I began taking an improvised shower using my water bottle. It helped, but not enough. Since I bought a true portable shower to take with me I have been enjoying the backcountry even more than I used to. Another added benefit is my sleeping bags last longer since I am not loading them up with dirt and sweat every night. The Zodi hot shower system would add a bit to my weight when I go backpacking, but the slight added weight is more than worth it for the comfort.

For car camping with the family, a shower system is a necessity.
