A year return-policy sounds pretty noble and spectacular, to say the least- pretty hard to find nowadays. Although, at almost 800 bucks I’m glad they would, should there be any issues. Lol, I remember back when Amazon would take things even after a couple of months of use – had fun dressing up in some nice wear (sorry guys) 😉

Now to think of it, I think this would be a great product for those that especially frequently travel in their RV – or live in one!

I think for ‘lounging’ though or just throwing in the tent to sit on and relax its practical. It’s nice that they included so many parts to be able to take it apart, and customize it how you want – that’s pretty neat! At just under 40lbs I definitely feel like that weight would be reasonable to carry around or take on the go. I think the biggest quality of this product is that it can be taken apart, and serve as two chairs – makes me want to buy one for my next outdoor BBQ! Who sleeps on the ground anymore in tents? 😉 Haha.

It used to be a return anytime policy. You could buy something then return it 10 years later if you were not happy with it.

I have no problem with their member dividend coop. With REI, I can easily return a product within a year with no problems. If I wear a pair of hiking boots for 4 months and then the sole begins to separate from the upper early from shoddy workmanship, I can simply return them to REI and get a different pair of boots. Where else can you return heavily used items and get your money back? A lot of og problems won’t emerge until you begin actively using the product, and at that point, it is used so merchants won’t issue a refund, but REI does! This is why REI constantly stocks the best quality merchandise and it breeds member loyalty.

The REI member dividend is only good to use on purchases from REI, so no cash back. I feel like they should call it the REI Member Dividend Scam. They could price their products lower and do away with the member dividend, but they use it to try and foster customer loyalty.

I like and respect REI as a company. They are great to deal with, especially in a store, but I am not a fan of their member dividend.

I don’t like that the member dividend comes only once per year, but at least I get some money back. I would rather buy from Amazon though and get a lower up-front cost without having to wait until the end of the year for my discount.

Although most people, including myself, will generally just use it in one position they find to be the more comfortable, helpful etc, it can be changed if situations demand it. I would use the lounge chair setup non-stop, but if we met a couple that came to join us we could easily convert this into the camp couch. I like having options with my products and not be forced into hacking the product into something it wasn’t designed for. This Snow Peak camp couch is truly versatile and I can respect that in any product.

I really like how I can set it up one weekend out camping to be used as a couch and then the next weekend when we have mire family with us we can set it up to use as shelves, but then when the food runs low as our last night approaches at the campground we can flip it into a futon. What do you need in camp furniture? It seems like the Snow Peak Camp Couch will fit your needs for car camping, regardless of what they are!

I think this a great product for many people., but for me, I need something simpler. I am sure it is easy to setup into the various modes, but I still want it to be simpler. If I still had a larger family I might get it, but where it’s predominantly my wife and me camping, we like to pack light and simple.

I am a big fan of REI. I normally buy most of my camp gear off of Amazon for pricing, but REI offers a wide variety of items that aren’t for sale elsewhere. One REI camping furniture item I highly recommend if the REI Co-op Kingdom Cot 3.

The KIngdom Cot 3 is an extremely padded cot, but the head also raises up so you can use it as an extremely padded lounge chair. It also costs a lot less than the Snow Peak Camp Couch at around $150.
